The breast gives sustenance and life to babies and young children. Those who have been fortunate enough to be nourished and comforted at the breast want to go back to that time. Those who never had the benefit of this manner of comfort, love and feeding method desire it even more.
Thus, the breast and the need to possess the breast is a common desire in our society.
In traditional societies where breastfeeding is common, not a "big deal" where women breastfeed in public without a thought an no one cares, where every baby and child has access to the breast, grown men DO NOT desire the breast for sexual purposes any more than any other part of the woman. Don't get me wrong, in these societies the breast IS used sexually, but no more thought to be "sexual" than the hand or the mouth, both of which are multiple use organs.

I'm sorry, but it's a myth. Children do not find breastfeeding sexual. Making the breast a sexual organ is a construction of NON breastfeeding societies. I'm a Lactation Consultant and have nursed my own children into toddler-hood and even into preschool. I have NEVER seen the slightest sexual arousal in either my own or others children during breastfeeding.
I've had clients nurse plenty of boy babies naked, to increase skin contact and to help with bonding, and in several thousand clients, I have NEVER seen a single baby get an erection, or play with herself from or during a breastfeeding. How many babies have you seen get a hard on from simply gaining nourishment? Some babies get random erections from air contact during diaper changes, but not from breastfeeding. Promoting this myth simply makes breastfeeding seem even more "fringe" and will scare women away from it even more than they already are. *sigh*
Linking the breast with sex for children is a construct of a society that has a twisted and wrong relationship to both sex and lactating.
Children LOVE breasts, but in a totally NONSEXUAL way.

I am not sure of the reason, however it is really annoying. I am a very large chested women. I hate to have men staring at them all the time. I notice it all the time. They almost trip over themselves staring at them, I do not ever where low cut or thigh tops either. This has happened to me my whole life. I was a 38D by the time I was 13, everyone notice my breast and are always like damn. Even my husbands friends you can see them staring at them. I find myself walking around with my arms crossed so no one can stare so hard at them.
