Hell no. But, I've definitely threatened to end a relationship via text. I think it's a disrespectful thing to do and ending a relationship no matter how casual should never be taken lightly.

I've gotten into a fight via text message and then agreed that we could each go to hell, kind of like a last straw thing were we just assumed it was over. But as soon as we saw each other again we were back to the norm. And it happened like every couple of weeks. It was my first relationship after my divorce... Probably why it was the last too. The whole dating process seemed so high school to me by then. I rather just be single and be me.

Yes, I was seeing someone and found out after months of dating, he was married. If I would have broke up with him face to face, it wouldn't have been pretty..

No, I think that it's tacky. I thought the same thing about making a phone call to end it back in the day. I think that it should be face to face.

No, but I have been in a relationship for 12 years and didn't have text message with the guy I dated before that. Even if I had texting way back then, I still would have respected the jerk to dump him in person.

Nope, I'd consider that rude actually.
I have sort of just stopped talking to one guy though, it was back when I was 19 and I was terrified to break up properly because I didn't want to hurt his feelings.
He was a sweet guy, but we weren't looking for the same things.
He wanted marriage+babies+making me move away from my mom, and at the time that scared the heck out of me. (to be fair, he was talking about all that by our third date though, and the 17 year age difference didn't help either)

I still feel a little bad for just disappearing without a trace on him though. x_x
