I burnt my arm a long time ago on a wood burning/carving set my friend had. The scar has faded, but I had it for a long time.

I have burned myself many times through out my life, most of them superficial burns with minor or no scars. However, when I was 4-5years old and living in New Zealand I received 2nd and 3rd degree burns to the back of my left arm, and the front of my left shoulder. It's nothing nasty looking but rather a textured scar, I have almost no feeling in the majority of the larger scar on my front left shoulder.

I would go into details as to how and why the burns occurred, but to make things short, I was a fire bug. Still am, but at least now I have the common sense not to set myself on fire. lol

My daughter had large areas on her upper thighs burnt by hot soup, when she was around three. The maid was holding a pot of hot soup she's just removed from the stove top, when my daughter ran right into her. It was devastating and we had to rush her to the emergency room. Luckily, she was very young at that time, so the scars healed within a month and they're not very noticeable anymore.

I had, but not a serious burns ..

Also I get one by candle play with my wife. I didn't feel any thing during, but after an hour I started feeling the hot. I have never repeated it again for that much of serious play.

When I was really little. I got burned by boiling water. Stayed in the burn unit for a week. The nights in the burn unit is really bad, you can constantly hearing people cry/scream.

Only minor burns for me, but they still hurt. I've spilled small amounts of boiling water on myself, bumped hot metal accidentally, and once touched a sparkler after it had just gone out.

Nothing major for me. I had a small scar from boiling water on my hip when something slipped out of my tongs and back into the boiling water on the stove. And I have a scar on my shin that was a combination of heat from the exhaust pipe of my motorcycle and a scrape when it hit my jeans. But I think that was more from the jeans. It's still there, but very faint.

Gah, I just realized how this looked: "still hurt" meaning "still hurt even though they were minor," not "still hurt to this day."

I'm just lucky I never got any lasting scars from them. Not even from the splash of boiling water that hit my foot a few months ago.

I have burnt my fingers cooking. Nothing too bad. I have a friend who caught on fire when he was a teenager, and has scars all over his body from it. Burns hurt. I think they are the worst pain you can experience.

I burnt my hand on a hot curling iron as a toddler, and then again on a hot toaster as a kid. Then countless times with matches and hot pans and such growing up. Le sigh. Never scalding hot water, though! Damn That must have been horrible.

If you're afraid of scarring, try silicone sheets. They work magic. I've gotten rid of even my worst scars (and also my stretch marks).

I have but not badly. It was with a lighter when I was a kid but it didnt leave a scar. A few times when I worked at a KFC as a teenager for a couple months I have small scars on my arms from the oven and deep fryer.

I used to do glass blowing. Accidentally touched one of the pipes higher up than I should have, once. I followed my professor's advice and help a refrigerated can of soda in that hand for about 12 hours. Kept switching the can when it got warm for a new cool one.

Barely hurt by the next day.

Ha, until I read your post I forgot I worked at a KFC as a cook once. Burned my arms often, but usually small insignificant burns that healed with no scars.

Yup, way back when I was a kid I was playing in the kitchen and hit my hand on the searing hot metal oven rack.
I still have the scar about 18 years after the event.

So far I've only had some minor burns, nothing that would've scarred me. Here's hoping it stays that way.

I have had two major burn incidents. Both on my left arm. One was from an extremely hot plate that a family member set on my arm for me to carry to the table and the other was from the oven door after I set it to broil.

Both were very nasty, but because I didn't pick at them they didn't scar.
