I have gone back and forth on posting this because I do not wish to step on anyone's toes as far as spirituality goes but my emotion has won out. My aunt (mom's only sister) has ductal and invasive rapid growth breast cancer that is also in her bloodstream. Her oncologist is unsure if it has spread to her lymphatic system or the bones behind her breast and states she will know more once she goes into surgery and can see what is going on. My aunt goes in tomorrow for a mastectomy and has opted for not having reconstructive surgery because of some other issues that she has going on and she will also undergo chemotherapy.

As I said before, I don't want to step on anyone's spiritual toes, but I am asking for thoughts, prayers, well wishes, good vibes, positive energy- whatever your spiritual mode of positivity is- to please be sent her way and also the way of my mom, she's having a really rough time seeing her little sis going through this. Thank you all.

You have my complete sympathy. My sister, who I'm very close to, has appendix cancer (extremely rare) that has spread to her lungs. One tumor is inoperable and untreatable. She's been given a year to live. Cancer can suck a bag of dicks. I hope your aunt has more options than my sister does.

Cancer pisses me off! >.< It's so damn rampant and so damn shitty. Thank you for your thoughts, prayers and well wishes. I will keep everyone updated as I know more myself. Positive energy and prayers sent the way of those touched by this horrible disease.

Update: The surgeon confirmed that it is not in the lymph nodes nearby but has not gotten back results on the bone yet and they have not done a full body scan yet. She has a migraine from the knock out drugs but they're keeping her heavily medicated.

They say that's a positive way to think...get mad at the cancer and see yourself battling it like a warrior. I have no idea if it works to the same degree for family members to do the exercize but hell it couldn't hurt! Send all negative vibes to the malfunctioning cells and make 'em die!

Carrie Ann is right as well, take good care of yourself. Your body takes a pounding when you are stressed.

Thanks all!

I just wanted to post an update- her husband got into a wreck (with a semi!!) and fortunately is alright but their car is totaled. She had her drains and such removed yesterday but has a pretty bad infection she's fighting with. Right now it's one step forward two steps back but she's trying her best to remain optimistic, as best as she's able in the circumstances.

Mom is still out there with her lending both moral and literal support.

Anyhow, that's the way things are now.
