New car and bike styles or oldschool? :):):)

Contributor: DreamWolf DreamWolf
I must admit that I find it quite funny how way less appealing and aesthetic the most of the modern cars (from the late 70s let's say) look, compared to the older models, and same goes for the bikes, unless we speak of choppers of course... (I don't say of course that there aren't amazing looking modern cars, but only a very few of them are for my taste... )

Which do you find more beautiful?

Most of my favourite cars are from the 30s. D: Such sexy cars.

I like my bike... but all I know is that they stopped making it in the 80s. But it's a nice bike.

.

I'm not a hipster, it was just $25 at a garage sale and my mom got it for me when I was younger. :B

I love the late 40's to late 50's car styles.

I think that once we got to the 90's, cars stopped being unique for the most part. I love cars from the early 60's that still had the fins of the 50's but started having the "60's" front ends. My dream car is a Cadillac convertible from '63 or '64.

It really depends. Form and function are big factors - old or new. A lot of people think that "all" cars made in the past were great, but we know that's not really the case. There were certainly the ugly ducklings of the 40's, 50's and 60's, as well as the design flops along the way. More interesting to us is how an idea can flop during one decade, and succeed during another. For example, the push-button transmission of the Edsel was a flop at the time, but now we have push-button ignition, among other features.

i do like the fact that most manufacturers now are starting to incorporate older designs with new models. i cant stand the way 95% of the vehicles from the mid 70s through the early 2000s looked. i prefer cars from the 60s, as far as muscle cars go, i love the way cars from the 30s and 40s look too. but some of my favorites are 40s-50s pickup trucks
