CAT OWNERS....is your cat RIGHT or LEFT PAWED? No kidding!!!

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
Cats, like all mammals, tend to have a DOMINANT side, right or left. Since cats, more then many other mammals, are SO dexterous with their paws, many think they are all ambidextrous, but most cats, like dogs, horses, etc, will favor either the right or left paw, if faced with a "hard" task requiring their best "precision" effort (for instance, scooping a treat from under the couch, or swatting a bug off a leaf).
SO...is your cat RIGHT or LEFT pawed?

Must make for funny "swatting" matches. Like a right hand and left handed boxer going at it!!!!

My cat seemed to be left pawed, as did the one I had in the 1990's.

I have several cats, but the one that uses his paws the most is right handed. He actually uses his paw to scoop water out of the dish and lick it off, and he's started doing the same thing with food. Such a weirdo! Haha

I've never noticed! I actually didn't know that cats were right or left pawed before now.
