Getting the correct waist measurements

Contributor: Miss Anonymous Miss Anonymous
I've been looking a corsets all day. I deciced to measure myself, so I looked online for the correct way to do it. It was kind of split down the middle.

Some sites said to measure the waist you have to go an inch above the belly button. Your supposed to go over the love handels and all.

Some other sites said, measure the smallest part of your torso or "naturel waist". Some find this by beanding over to one side and finding were the torso indent and that is where you measure. That would be right under the rib cage.

Which one is it?

I am pretty sure I'm around your size, so my method should work well for you. Your "waist" is the smallest area below your ribs and above your hips. The ones talking about measuring around the belly button don't apply to curvy girls so much.

when measuring yourself, it's best to have someone else do if for you b/c you get a more accurate measurement that way.
