Have you tried "Couch to 5k"?

Has anybody tried this program? Did it work for you? I'm curious about trying it but I'm afraid I might be even too out of shape for the first day of the program!

I've done it before, and am about to get back into the program. If you're worried that you can't do the first day, why not start walking 20 minutes every day for a few weeks? That's a good way to ease into it gently.

I really like this program! It worked well for me, and I found that between running 3 times a week, and doing strength training on the days I didn't run, I lost 20 pounds in a few months.

Thanks for the feedback! I'm definitely going to start slow and work my way up but I'm glad to know it's worth it!

I have not tried it, but it sounds like an interesting program. I really like Pixel's tip to start with walking 20 minutes a day. There are tons of resources to help you design a route, track your heart rate, and to record how many calories you have burned. These apps can be very motivating. Congratulations and the best of luck on this journey!

Oh! Just a heads up. Even with just walking, make sure you stretch well beforehand and after! It helps a lot.

I did it a few years ago, it worked great for me. I might need to try it again since I don't run much anymore
