Da ya wishe youze waz a bedder spellerer?

Contributor: Rod Ronald Rod Ronald
Okay, so I suck at spelling. Just ask every single editor on EF. They will tell you. Do you wish you were a better speller. Or hell, even had a better understanding of the english language? That way you would know that 'There' and 'Their' are two seperate words?!
Or am I just stupid? Okay...that goes with out saying.

I don't worry about it in my informal writing, but I do when it's something that I know I won't be able to edit at some point in the future.

As long as I have spell-check and a smart phone (for those words that just don't come to you right away), I'm pretty good. My grammar needs work, though.

I feel pretty confident in my spelling, though once in a while there is a word I seldom use that I regretfully look up. I like to think my grammar is adequate, but I tend to be a little loose with commas. My sentences could use some improvements in efficiency and organization too.

I'm already pretty good, but you guys do know you can set your browser to auto correct spelling and grammar right? Should make it easy to learn and self correct. I'm amazed at some of the stuff I see in reviews/forum posts.

I have a few words, I have to slow down and think about occasionally, that I misspell...like Occasionally for one!.

No, I don't wish I was better at it.
I already have a tendency to tick people off by correcting them too often as it is.

Spelling was one of my best subjects in school. When I have misspelled words its normally cause I can't type and hit the wrong keys.

I'm already pretty good at spelling, as long as I don't have to spell it out loud. Dear lord I fumble with my speech bad when I'm asked to spell stuff orally.
On paper and typing I think I'm pretty decent. I don't notice much changes in my reviews ^_^. Except grammar errors. I usually make at least a few of those.

I do pretty well with spelling, punctuation and grammar but there's always going to be some mistakes.

I do pretty well with spelling, but spell checks and proof readers are still needed for those little mistakes.

I have a ... more
I'm the same way, Try. I have certain words that always give me trouble ("Surprise" in any form is a good example of this. So is "necessary". I always just make my best guess on that one and then use auto correct.) I have been known to avoid using particular words just to skip the hassle of figuring out how they're spelled.

One or two bugaboos aside, though, I've always been very good with language. I guess I am just lucky that way. The trend on the internet that good grammar, spelling and punctuation aren't important drives me bonkers.

I wish I was better, but I'm sure I'm probably fine. I just have trouble. I'm dyslexic which doesn't help. And there are some words I know I'll always need spell check for. But at least I finally got surprise memorized!
