A friend of mine posted this, and I couldn't resist taking a look at it. As any good frugal shopper knows, there are some things you can pick up cheaper, and some things you just shouldn't skimp on. This list doesn't cover every single thing you could possibly get at a dollar store, but it covers most of the things you can pick up, and whether or not they're worth getting there or if you should shop elsewhere.

I read all those articles and thought they were well researched and put together. I'm pretty frugal in my shopping habits so it was a great read!

Thanks! I know it helps to know what things you can "skimp" on and what things you can't. I'm going to try and pass these on to my father in law, because he buys the lowest costing everything. There is indeed a difference between "duck tape" and "duct tape" and the extra dollar per roll is absolutely worth it!

Great articles, I liked the speed clean your kitchen one but even if I tried to follow it I would get sidetracked. I love the article on dollarstore deals, I shop there for all holiday and party stuff. You can decorate and make great gift baskets for very little money. Shopping there has really saved my butt when I forgot a birthday- just buy a basket and with a few bath & beauty items, some wrap and a bow, it looks like a designer put it together.

Which reminds me with Easter coming up I better start on the decorating and baskets.
