Never. They either had girlfriends or they regarded me as a "sister" or they were in the closet at the time. The closest I got was asking my best guy friend (whom I had a mad passion for) to shed my virginity.

We were all chicken-shits in high school. I'm sort of glad that I wasn't the only one who didn't have the guts to bite the bullet and ask.

I never really had a high school crush, I was more interested in actors old enough to be my father. I liked a guy in the last year of primary school, but never asked him out as I was shy then and we were only 12. We met up again a few years later and I had my first kiss with him, but we never saw each other again after that. The guys I did sort of like in high school were just my way of trying to get over him, I think.

I had a LOT of crushes. Every.single.one. said "no".
