Did you grow up in an Atheist family?

Did you grow up in an atheist family? (By "Atheist," I mean [ref: Wikipedia] Atheism is, in a broad sense, the rejection of belief in the existence of deities. In a narrower sense, atheism is specifically the position that there are no deities.)

Did this upbringing affect your views on sexuality? You can interpret this as broadly or as specifically as you'd like.

Can't say I have but I share the same views as my hubby and he did. He is also atheist and I am not, but our views on sexuality are pretty much the same. THOUGH, I've had more partners and been a bit more open with my sexuality than he has.

I grew up in an athiest family. However, they were very sex negative in the sense that my father often took advantage of my mother and openly cheated on her.

no, but we're not very religious either. we've never gone to church except for baptism and we might be skeptical about some aspects of religion, but we're not atheists, (we refuse to worship Athe) just maybe dr. pepper drinking agnostics.

Yes and no. Dad and I were the only atheists in the family, and I don't think it's affected my views on sexuality.

My family was more apathetic. Religion just wasn't really in the picture one was or another.

Did it affect my views on sexuality ? I don't know. Not any more than anything else, really. I suppose it meant I didn't have to go through the whole SIN thing about sex and all. Which I guess is a plus.

No. I grew up in a Christian Family. Though I do know of Atheists and their sex life's really aren't effected. It's more of what the parents did that effected it.

My family is a weird mix of vaguely Christian agnosticism, rationalism, and almost Wiccan ideals...almost. There's been enough paranormal activity with my family to go strict Christian.
