Difficulty "facbook liking" things?

Contributor: (k)InkyIvy (k)InkyIvy
Let me just say, I'm not the most tech-savvy person. I don't know a whole lot about computers.
Last week I noticed my computer was running a bit slow, so I cleared my history and cache and all that stuff. Relatively simple. But afterward, I noticed that every time I click "like" on something here on EF, a little window pops up asking me to confirm the action. This never happened before I cleared my history and cache, so I'm wondering if I unintentionally changed the setting for something...

Any suggestions?

this has been happening to me as well and I also cleared my cache. It might be a setting to prevent point farmers, or,like you said, we accidentally reset something. I wish I could be of more help.

It's to prevent "like-jacking". It's also annoying. I don't think it has anything to do with users, it's thinks it's between Eden and FB.

Is "like-jacking" where people just "like" everything? Sorry, like I said, I'm not the most tech-savvy... I don't know a lot of the terminology. As I was posting this discussion, I had to ask my partner if "history" and "cache" are the same thing. lol It's kind of pathetic, actually.

It does this to me and I have not cleared these yet this week. It is irritating but I deal with it, sometimes.

I've been having this problem too. It's really annoying and I sort of wish it would get worked out properly.

maybe it's a safety measure. to make sure we don't accidentally click on something and like it without meaning to.

I assumed it was to stop people liking everything all the time. I think it's probably facebook that made the change, since I assume they control the code for the button.

Mine wants me to prove that I'm not spamming for liking and everything else...not worth it for me.
