Do other people's votes influence your vote on polls and comparative discussions?

Contributor: spiced spiced
When you're voting in an EF forum poll or comparative discussion, do you ever vote differently because of the way other people have voted?

I've found myself second-guessing my vote, and even changing it, when I've seen that the majority have picked something else. I actually wish other people's votes were hidden until I cast my vote, like I've seen on many other sites, because of that effect.

How about you? How often are you influenced by other people's votes?

I could not tell, not enough people have voted yet.

I don't normally look at the results of votes and polls. I just vote the way I feel about the subject being voted on.

It's important to me, I don't know about you guys!

EDIT: Whoops, I thought you meant a discussion on a toy and whether you'd buy the toy or not.

No, my opinions are mine alone, and I don't vote with the majority.

Nope, it never bothers me if I'm the only person voting for something.

No, I vote how I feel, even if I'm the only one with a different choice.

Nope! I ALWAYS vote for what I think is better (which is usually the unpopular opinion).

Never. It'd be kind of dishonest, in my opinion. My vote is always strictly based on my own real opinion/feelings or whatever. My vote isn't at all influenced by anyone else's. I just vote on how I feel, not how someone else does.

Sometimes, but the most amusing part of this poll is that for the election I ponify-ed "votes" to "double-ended dildos" so I was really confused for a moment.

I sometimes consider what other people vote, but I ultimately choose what answer goes best with my opinion.

My vote isn't influenced at the time I vote, but I enjoy seeing how other's voted. I especially enjoy reading the thoughtful responses some people give & THOSE comments might influence how I think about something after the fact. Sometimes people have a unique perspective that I hadn't considered and THAT can influence me in the future.

Others opinions open my mind to other possibilities an outlook. So yes, I do occasionally change my mind.

No. But after reading an explanation on why the person voted the way they did it made me wonder why I was so close minded as to not think of the other options.

Other people's votes never influence mine, but I do think it'd be more interesting if we saw the results only after voting ourselves.
