If yes, do you wear it in public or only in private?

Examples would be a necklace with the word "slut" or "whore" or "sex slave" dangling from it.

A personal example is I bought my wife a leather snap on collar here on EF that has the words "Bad Kitty" printed in silver lettering. She only wears it in the bedroom, but the collar extremely enhanced naughty photos I've taken of her while she's wearing it.

I have only worn the S&M Sex and Mischief one out once so far. No one really knew what it meant though. If they asked I would tell them.
