Do the events in North Korea or other pressing world issues cause you to watch more news or do you "tune out"?

I tend to keep a new channel on, somewhere in the house or office, on 24/7 when something of real importance is going on in the world. I know others who deliberately "unglue" from the news. (I say bury their head in the sand...but that's just my view).

What do you do when big world events happen?

It depends what's going on and what they're covering. Sometimes I watch a lot more, and other times I turn it off.

For major stuff that could affect me, I'll check more regularly, but not 24/7.
