I take it you are pregnant? Because you are asking a lot of first time mommy questions. If you are pregnant I advise you to check out the website and forum set up on babycenter. It's very helpful for first time mom's and full of many other parents on the site. It's a welcoming community just like EF!

I have not regretted what names we picked. Trust me you have plenty of time to come up with a name and there will be one that you are sure is the name. I never thought me or hubby would agree on a name. We have a lot of differences in opinions about names. For example I wanted to name our son Elliot Lucas. I thought that was a beautiful and strong name. The only thing he could think of was ET, so he vetoed that name. Having to consult someone else with naming your child is the hardest part. It was hard to come up with a name that both of us agreed on. Then we mentioned it to our families and NO ONE liked them. It was seriously annoying. My advice is to only consult the father of the child if they are around. Don't try to ask your mom, sister, or friends for their advice. Everyone is going to offer it to you without you asking. To make it less stressful on yourself just tell everyone we are waiting to see if the baby looks like s/he fits a few different names and leave it at that.

Not at all. It took us up until the last month of pregnancy to pick a name, but we found one that was unique that we both loved. Of course, lots of people didn't like it because it was different, but screw 'em!

I second Beck about only consulting the father about the name. Too many people have opinions and it's not their kid so it's really not their business what you name your child.

no im not pregnant lol. im 18 and im waaaayy not ready to have a baby. eeh i like elliot better too lol, et is too simple. Yea, never ask anyone because some people don't even know well names, like pedro or alfredo. And it isnt up to them either, idk i believe it should be generally the mother to name the baby because even tho the father helped make the baby, without the mother giving birth, there is no baby.

We actually named our oldest son a certain name because it was uncommon, but soon after there seemed to be a trend and everyone around us starting name their sons that, too!

I've never regretted my kids' names, BUT I would have if our oldest had been a girl. Not too long after he was born, I started to hate the girl name we picked out for him. But I would have gotten used to it. Good thing he turned out to be a boy.

And Sky, too, has started to not be unique!

I regretted our name choice in the hospital once I saw her- she just didn't look like she fit the name. But as we kept using it and calling her it, it began to really fit and feel right. So I'm glad we stuck with it!
