Do you care what people say about your choice of clothing?

Contributor: misterazor misterazor
some people are a hot mess. i am not talking about these people. i'm talking about things like popular cuts for jeans, colors, what's in or out for that particular season.

are you affected by the opinions of the fashion police, or are you a pretty happy person who dresses in a style that suits you, in spite of what fashion magazines might say?

I'm not concerned about what anyone thinks of how I look. I'm a comfy dresser, mostly in jeans and a tee. Sometimes a little dressier.

I have my own style, and it's actually rather timeless (although I would fit comfortably in an episode of "Portlandia"). Anyway, nobody really cares how a plus-sized woman is dressed until she tries to wear something only the fashionably young and fit are permitted to wear - then all hell breaks lose.

I kind of do. I like to dress so that I know I look good. I really appreciate it when people give me compliments on what I wear. If they don't like it, too bad.

No. I don't dress to please anyone but myself and my boyfriend.

i don't care what anyone thinks of my clothes. I have my own matching issues that no one else has.

I've never given a rat's behind about anything that people have to say about how I dress. And they usually have to say a lot, because I don't bother trying to cover up my ample cleavage.

i love these comments. i, as well, wear what i like. i look good...but i do wear some things that the younger generation considers out of style. of course, i look at these people with their pants hangin off their asses or the ugg boots and tights combo and shake my head when they look at me with disapproval.

I dress however I am comfortable as long as it is appropriate for the situation. I really don't care what people think.

Outside of looking professional as needed for work, nope. I dress in what makes me happy

People say I dress loudly, but others say I dress FABULOUSLY. I've been called a modern-day fop and dandy, so I suppose it's all right!

i've been considering this. i do care...and hate that i do. i still wear what i like, but i'm aware of what people may be thinking if i am wearing something new, that i consider to be out of my normal range. i try not to be affected by it, but, alas, i'm human.

I really don't understand how things like Uggs and Crocs became fashionable in the first place. People play it off like they're super comfortable, but Uggs are one of the least comfortable things to wear in the winter anywhere there's snow because they are really difficult to waterproof and will lead to soaking wet feet (which makes them super heavy!) more often than not. Crocs, too, can give bare feet blisters pretty easily, and the only seasoned Crocs wearer that I know has told me that though she finds them comfortable, she'd never go without socks while wearing them. What, then, is the point of the breathable (and hideous) design?

I buy what I like no matter what anyone thinks but back when I modeled I had to wear stuff I did not like but oh well it was my job.

I don't really follow fashion trends or anything like that, but do I care about how people think I look. More than I'd care to admit, actually... Though I tend to just wear a t-shirt, unzipped hoodie, jeans, and sneakers. Sometimes I take risks with what I wear, but I feel like I get funny looks when I do :/
