Two of ours caught a mole in the yard. It was a goner before we realized what was happening. In retrospect they had been stalking , then chasing pray like their ancient ancestors, and with perfect synchronization. Have you ever seen that in your dog ?

Never heard of a wild wolf. Sounds like what we call a ground hog though. Is this the same thing?

Thank goodness no, my baby only likes to chase after wild life, but not actually killing them.

My pom chases birds but will never be able to catch one.

Mine prefers chasing. He doesn't quite know what to do with something when he catches it, so that gives it time to escape while he's being confused.
(Although if you give him those rubber balls with feet, he'll disembowel those.)
