I just eat less and go work out, that's what i've been doing. In the past I have done strict calorie restrictive diets but they are impractical in the situation i am in, I have a boyfriend who is like kryptonite to diets Lol.

Neither! Your body needs carbs as its main energy source and fats are essential to metabolizing vitamins A,D,E, and K. I count calories and watch my macronutrient count so I don't eat too many of any one nutrient.

Exercise also works wonders for weight loss. Imagine that.

I follow a high protein, calorie restricted diet with weight lifting and cardio. It kind of ends up being low carb by default.

I watch my saturated fat, sodium, and sugar. I'm not a calorie counter and I generally reduce my carbs (bread and grains) to 1 time a day. I also reduce dairy because my body doesn't do well with it anyway.

No. You lose weight on calories. You can have a high fat diet and still lose weight. Exercise and caloric intake are key

I have no need for a diet at my weight... but, when I had a bad digestive problem last year I couldn't eat ANY carbs at all without getting sick, there was a complication with some meds I was given for a different issue. I lost 4lbs in a week, I probably would have lost a lot more if I exercised but the digestive issue (and total lack of carbs) made it so I had NO energy, I couldn't do much of anything without feeling woozy. Now I know that low-carb diets work incredibly well, they definitely aren't the healthiest, but they work. :/ I'd rather just cut down on grains to lose weight.

No. I don't diet because I really don't eat more than once-twice daily, so I won't cut that out, but I do try to eat healthy just for my health. If I were trying to lose weight, I'd add in some herbs like Forskohlii and probably cut the one-two Dr. Peppers I drink daily and switch to water only, and eat slightly differently. I workout (mostly on my pole) so I find it's sufficient for keeping me in good shape. I'm also a vitamin fanatic, and certain ones will help when you're trying to lose a little weight.

Less saturated fats and sugars, and more exercise tend to be the most effective for me.

Cutting back on grains and other starches is the way to go. Low fat diets will only make you feel hungry. The body would rather run on less carbs than low fat since a high percentage of the brain is fat.

No carbs, no processed foods and lots of protein.

Nope, not at all. I keep a food diary usually in a notebook, and just watch what I eat.
