I do but its through the government.

Sorry. I don't know a lot about life insurance. Some of it is a scam, and you pay a lot more in than your relatives or spouse will get out when you die. Others cover things like funeral expenses (which are expensive) and only a few are good enough to pay for everything and have some left over.

I don't have life insurance. My husband does, as he is the main Provider for our family.

I'm working on getting some. I have a lot of mental illnesses so most companies don't want to touch me. I had some through my old job that I'm converting over for a crazy amount of money.

Stick with big names like State Farm, Prudential, etc. The smaller companies don't have as much claims paying ability. You can check their ratings online.
