do you keep a secret that, if told, would ruin someone's life or relationship? do they know that you have power over them? any other thoughts on that?

not anymore but did at one time. i didnt tell my best friend that her boyfriend was cheating on her until it was too late.. and she almost never forgave me for it so from then on everything has been out on the table..

Definitely. I have never and will never tell my soon to be ex what his mom said what she did about his stepfather (who had just passed away), my ex's son or my ex. There is no purpose in hurting people like that--or destroying what he thinks is a relationship with his mother. I just did not associate with her anymore!!!!!
