Do you keep a diary or a journal?

Do you write consistently in a diary or journal? If so, why? Do you plan to re-read it later, or share it with a partner or child?

I kept one consistently from 5th grade until right before senior year of high school (when my mom suspected I'd smoked pot and decided to read it and find out for sure). I've kept one on and off since then, and recently just started writing one again (online). I like being able to look back at them. I cringe at my diaries from high school, but it's nice to see the ways I've changed. I'm interested in keeping one right now because I'm nearing the end of college and I want to be able to re-read experiences/details that I'm sure I'll forget over time.

I did for most of my teen years. Now I mostly just make journal posts on my Tumblr instead.

I did on and off when I was a child and in my teens. I now keep one and write in it regularly. I do it as a form of stress relief and problem solving. Husband also keeps one, but we respect each other's privacy and don't read them. He actually doesn't care if I read his, but I don't. I would allow him to read mine, but he has to seek permission first.

I do most of the time but have't had time to stop and do it, spend my free time here..lol..I don't think about who reads it, that would take away from it. They take it on themselves to read my personal stuff then I guess they have to deal with it.

I used to keep a consistent journal. Since I moved about a year ago I bought a new journal to get a fresh start. Since then, I think I've maybe written three or so entries in the beginning. Writing has always been therapy for me, but I'm a happier person now and I feel like I don't really need to keep a journal.
It's nice to go back and read some of my thoughts from a few years ago sometimes.

I have a physical journal that I write in sometimes, but I do most of my journaling online. I find it easier to type and it helps me work things out that are bothering me and just gives me a chance to get things off my chest.
