Yeah, my elementary school started early offering swimming lessons and my parents thought it important that I learned quickly. I had 3 diplomas by the age of 10 and passed what they called a survival swimming course which is actually one of the most fun things I ever did in the water. It included having to swim a distance underwater under simulated ice (a meter thick styrofoam over a whole pool) trying to find the gap to surface in while fully clothed.

yeah. I took lessons when I was kid so I learned the basics and have just been swimming ever since to get better at it

I can't float. Like, people can just float on the water in standing position...I can't do that. I can swim though and if I can get a wizard to teach me how to float, I would be so happy.

I can swim just fine....I don't have as much buoyancy as one would expect, though.
