There have been a number of posts lately about corporations and governments (sometimes hand in hand) either adopting dismaying practices or passing questionable laws on everything from transvaginal ultrasound to animal husbandry.

My question to the community is, what do you do about it? How do you let corporations or your elected officials know how you feel? Do you let them know?

I went to an alternative high school that was very active in government and the first thing I did when I turned 18 was register to vote. I have picketed in my state capital (on the other side of the state) twice. Sometimes using my vote means not voting. It's hard for me to find a candidate I can support enough to want to vote for them, because I'm socially liberal, but fiscally conservative.
