What's everyone's opinion on pet names? As in like "Baby", "hun", etc, not as in actual animals. I personally hate them unless it's like a real nickname that's come about throughout the relationship. They are annoying and a cover up to make sure someone doesn't say the wrong name. Haha. What's everyone else think?

I use pet names all the time. I say sure love, or alright sugar, no problem honey. There would be no reason for me to forget their name if they are dear to me. Although, if I knew someone was bothered by it, I wouldn't address them in such a way.

I wuv pet names! I say them a lot, too. If someone dislikes me calling them a pet name, I'd gladly stop it though.

c: It depends on the pet name, and who it's coming from.
When I was younger, I really hated them.
But as I've gotten older, I guess I've gone sweeter, and have started using them, myself. I like simple ones like Baby, and Love... but I like using dumb ones, too, like Pudding Pop, and HONEY bunches of Oats. Haha~
But to be called, I hate anything that -Girl tacked onto it. My dad calls me Girl, or Baby Girl, Pretty Girl. And I really dislike it. :|

I don't mind ones like babe/baby/love. Anything else I find cheesy.
