I love sushi, but I don't like rolls. (I'm allergic to iodine, and the sea weeds have a lot of iodine in them.)
I love nigiri, which is a ball of rice, with a piece of fish placed over it, sometimes with some wasabi under the fish. I always "paint" my sushi with my pickled ginger, dipped in Japanese Soy, and rub more wasabi on it.
My favorite is Toro, the fatty belly from a blue fin tuna. I also like regular tuna nigiri and salmon. No shrimp for me, again, I'm allergic.

It doesn't look like much, but the flavors and texture are divine. Some sushi places will pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for one large Tuna from which they can cut thousands of Toro nigiri. Many say it's the best sushi.

I wish my husband would buy me some sushi for Valentines Day.
