Do you limit or avoid aspartame?

I have read that aspartame is not good for you and could have negative effects on your body. Have you ever had any bad effect due to aspartame? Do you limit or avoid aspartame?

I avoid all artificial sweeteners. I think it's best to avoid eating artificial anything.

I had terrible reactions with aspartame - I didn't know I was allergic to it, and it ended up mimicking symptoms of MS. The doctors I saw in the ER completely freaked me out, but fortunately I had a friend who had gone through something similar with the same diagnosis, and the solution was to eliminate it completely, which cleared up the symptoms.

I avoid it like the plague now

I try to limit it, but I don't use it often. I don't drink sodas that have them and the only time I use artificial sweetener is occasionally in my coffee.
