I don't often play, I never win anything! Plus I am usually frugal but I was feeling lucky...

I played a scratch off earlier that cost me $3 and won $6. I am, of course, thrilled that I won anything! Woohoo!

No. The odds of winning anything decent are too low. So the return on investment is bad even if you happen to win a few small prizes.

See, I agree with you. Sometimes I just want to take a chance! However, my mom used to (and still does) buy them all the time and I swear she has the best luck I've ever seen with scratch offs. She is constantly winning $50 or $100 here or there and the most I've ever won is $6, haha!

I still haven't tried it. Though I did have to take old type of scantron that worked like a lottery ticket. It was horrible

I do scratch offs. and even then it's if I have an extra $1 or 2 in my purse to grab one.

Best one I had was when I won $80 on a $1 ticket . I was shocked!

If the jackpot gets big for the megamillions I may get 4 tickets ($1 each) but thats it. I dont have a system I use (altho I will never buy the same game scratch offs in the same transaction)

Occasionally I will pick up one while I'm already in a store and sometimes my boyfriend does that.. he will randomly bring me home a scratch off..

Love scratchers. In Cali, I played all the time. Won $100 quite a few times and $500 once. They don't have lottery here in this state so I only get to play when I cross state lines.

I don't do the lottery at all, nor do I gamble. If you know you'd win, I'd be all for it - but when I have to spend money I'd rather have something to show for it after. LOL I guess I'm a cheapskate or something!

If I'm given a scratch-off or two as part of a birthday/Christmas gift, then sure, I'll do it. If I win anything I'll cash out and call it quits.

Will I spend any of my own money on lotto tickets? Aww, HELL naw! Working customer service in a grocery company for over eight years has given me more than enough evidence for me to say that it's just not worth it.

I buy a scratch ticket or two almost every time I'm at the grocery store. I seem to get my "investment" back about 50% of the time, and once I got $10 on a $1 ticket.

I buy them occasionally. I never spend more then $5 on tickets. Usually we get 5 $1 scratch off's. I've won $50 on a dollar ticket before. And usually I at least make our money back.

Hubby throws in every week at work for the lottery. If they win something that isn't enough to split with the 40 of them, they throw in back into buying tickets. He came home with an extra 100 one time.

If the lottery gets up to something like 50 million then I play.

The odds of winning may be slim, but somebody has to take the prize, and if you don't have a ticket then it definitely won't be you.

Lol I know the feeling. I think this is first time I've ever won anything. Yesterday one was given to me and I won $10, I was excited. Haha.

Very true! The key is to play the same #'s every draw, changing #'s constantly will just work against you (most of the time).

My mother's bf says his parents played same #'s for years. One week his father forgot to get tickets...and his #'s hit. Lol. Oops!
