Do you prefer to work for a man or woman?

Interesting results.....

I have had male employees that had a serious issue working for a woman. They just needed a job and did not care at the time of hire. That was a problem for me--recourse is very limited. I sat them down in the office and talked to them about their choice to work for me and what we both could so to make the situation work out. Two of them quit, the other one was the best dang employee I ever have had!!

Years ago the general manager where i was working at the time hired a guy that turned out to have an issue with having a woman for a boss.

I'm a woman and was his direct supervisor, my boss was male (second in command) and his boss was the general manager - a woman. Why this jerk even took the job knowing two out of three of his supervisors were women we'll never know.

He was a complete ass and the other male employees asked him repeatedly to not regale them with his exploits at a local sex playhouse. It made them sick listening to his bragging all the while telling them how his wife had no clue about all the women he was doing on the side. He wouldn't heed their requests to stop so they ended up having to go to management to make formal complaints. He was a real piece of work!

I'd almost say "doesn't matter" but I think I prefer working for a woman. I am more likely to listen to a woman because I feel in competition with other men, maybe a Darwin thing.

As a woman who has worked for women and men I at this point prefer men, men can be silly and try to be friends with you which is better than having a crazy female who is a big ol' B if you catch my drift. I only had one female boss at my job and she was in a click with other women and I just thought that was stupid. My boyfriend has had nightmare female bosses who just make their employees lives hell, but at his current job he an his female boss are bff's lol. I'm sure that guys can be jerk bosses too I just haven't experienced that yet.

As long as they treat me with respect it's literally no difference at all. I'm not involved with their genetalia, hormones and physiology, therefore it's irrelevant to my life as their employee.

I don't care as long as they are direct and to the point. I work in social services and everyone is so worried about being diplomatic its impossible to tell if you are doing what is expected of you or not.
