I rarely pre-order. Only usually books or something I'm dying for.

I used to pre-order video games, but these days I just wait a year or so for them to drop in price. Except for sonic games, which take about three weeks. I love sonic and I hear that generations was awesome, but good sonic games are few and far between).

I might pre-order if there is a bonus and the price is reasonable, otherwise I can wait.

I preorder books sometimes, but usually I only preorder if there's some kind of reward for doing so. Such as preordering a John Green novel - if you preorder, you get it signed. And I'll preorder on iTunes as well, since that usually means that I get a few tracks ahead of time.

I recently pre-ordered my husband's Valentine's Day gift, because I knew if I didn't that I wouldn't remember to order it when it came out.

With all the holiday shopping questions going around I figure this may be relevant. Do you ever preorder anythings. Which items? Why? Etc.
Only if there's some kind of bonus for free-ordering.
