We have a landline because it's part of the phone/tv/internet package and because we don't have unlimited minutes on our cell plan.

I do have a land line. I will always have one, because if all fails, you can reach me on the land-line.

We still have a land line at home however it really does me no good because we don't have long distance an most everyone I know has numbers that are long distance

I haven't even seen a land line in ages, college towns will do that to you. I really don't see the point anymore unless you love in a place where there are power outages/ no cell service.
