I text my mom sometimes to ask if she'll get the dogs in, But most of the time she texts me to tell me she's going to sleep. I normally have my TV on or I'm yelling at people on Xbox, So I don't hear her, haha.

Yeah I text the kids if they're in another room and I'm in the middle of studying and need their help. Quicker than going upstairs to get them.

I do, sometimes. Like if I'm trying to be cute with my husband, or say dirty things I can't out loud because of our son or other people. Plus, it's easier to text than pass a note or try and do signals behind someone's back. Like if I'm trying to signal to my little sister that we need to go, and don't want to go in to the reasons with our mom, etc.

People around here wear headphones a lot -- small house, lots of music, videos and games happening all at once -- so yes, I often text the people in my house so I don't have to shout or try to get their attention when they can't hear me.

My mom will text me from downstairs if she is in bed, mostly about something pet-related or to ask for a favor.

Nope, and it drives me crazy if people do that to me.
