I switched to an electronic cigarette 1 year ago and I love it. I use one from Halo and refill the juice myself from Halo, Vixen vapers, and Chi-town vapers. I prefer Halo and Vixen.
Do you use an E-cigg?

i use the blu brand and i love mine as well. i haven't quit smoking completely, but i'm down to about a pack a week, which is a lot better than a pack a day!

I've been so lucky not to have started smoking in my life. I tried cigars a long time ago for maybe about a week but hated them. Some of my friends smokes cigarettes, but for some reason I didn't like the smell.

That's great! My niece lives in a house of 6 smokers and she's never had the desire to light up which is good, especially since she's 21 and the only one who doesn't smoke.

My husband doesn't smoke but, this was such a hard habit to kick. I didn't have the will power and switched to the e-cig which has been awesome. Plus, much cheaper.

No.

I just started using one this past Monday! I got the Mistic one from Wal-mart. Even though the package says that it isn't intended to help quit smoking, that's what I'm using it for. Some time ago, I quit smoking for over a year, then started back up after being in a car accident, then quit again, then started back up again. I have quit before using nicotene gum, but I can't use it when my stomach is upset (which happens a lot after having my gall bladder removed). So I chose the e-cig over patches. I though going from a pack a day, or every two days, to this would be rough... but it actually hasn't been. I'm also surprised that after five days, I'm still on my first cartridge.

I don't smoke, never have. None of my smoker friends use these though.

Nope, tried a bit of a real cigarette, and it's not my thing

Good luck! My first E-cig was a fifty one trio and I hated it. My mother bought it for me and paid way too much for it. That thing was a joke and had to be replaced 3 times within 3 months. Then, I picked up a gas station one and it was "ok" but, cost a lot for the cartridges.

I lucked out and got to try one from Halo and love it. They have different colors and flavors. My favorite is Tribecca from there, it's a semi sweet taste and really good.

I noticed that with the Mistic, that it has a slightly sweet taste. Not the same as an actual cigarette, but still good. This is the first one I've tried, and it was pretty cheap at Wally World. I paid 14 bucks for the rechargeable battery thing, two cartridges and the USB charger (there was also a $7 box with just the battery and one cartridge and a more expensive pack with two batteries, three cartridges, USB charger, and wall charger). I think those only came in menthol and traditional flavors... then there's the five cartridge refill packs (which were only 14 bucks again) that come in menthol and traditional flavors with varying degrees of nicotine levels. In the end, I may still be "smoking" and getting nicotine and whatever chemicals are in there, but at least it is a hell of a lot cheaper.

I quit smoking 10 weeks ago today. You will know when u are ready to quit. You will just stop! People have different ways of coping with their addiction. Everyone has "triggers" whether you had your last cigarette 20 minutes ago or 20 years ago, it can be as simple as driving by the old store you used to buy your cigs at. I always wanted to try the e-cigs, I'm glad they work for you guys!
Check out the site BecomeAnEx.org It's free and I think you can get 2 weeks free of the nicotine patches. If you're not ready though the support groups online are really great

We actually just discussed using these because they are healthier we feel, and so we can also use them in the house.

I pay $9.99 for a pack of 5 prefilled cartridges and then refill them. The life of mine is usually 4-5 days per cartridge when I refill, some people say you can get about 2-3 weeks each cart before they give out. Some only lasted 2-3 days before having to toss them out. The initial one lasts me most of the day before refilling. It really depends on the cart.

What I do is buy a couple packs of cartridges and then use them until the prefilled liquid is gone. Then, I start refilling. I use one until it needs tossed out and then go to the next.
I bought the kit for $53 which came with 2 batteries, charger, 1 pack of 5 prefilled carts, 2 empty carts, and a tin. The batteries are $14 each when they need replaced but, they last a long time. I've had my new batteries since income tax (Feb. or March). They usually have sales during major holidays and sometimes in between.
Tribecca liquid is a bit expensive ($6-$20 depending on bottle size) but, so good. I get it when it's on sale sometimes.
I love to order liquid from Vixen. They have sales all the time and free shipping on fridays. If you ever decide to buy liquid, shoot me a message with your email if you don't mind. Vixen will give me a $5 credit for any referrals that I send an email to through my account.
I never tried the Mystic, it's century 21 or something like that from the Walmart gas station that I tried. The carts are $8 for 3 and didn't last long. Great for travel though. Whenever I have to go out of town, I grab a couple packs to take with me in case I run out of liquid.

That is one of the main reasons for switching besides costs, it's also been much cheaper using the e-cig. My family begged me to quit and this was the easiest way. I've been trying different flavors. Some are really good but, some are nasty.

The E-cig is called Halo? Never heard of that one! I tried 2 different ones and they sucked. They did help somewhat, but ran out so quickly that I ended up spending way, way more to refill than to buy plain Camels. So gave up. However, now that you mention these work, I'm interested! What is the price of these? How much do you pay per refill? I would LOVE to switch to a decent E-cig because I desperately want to quit!

I'm not a smoker. But seeing them indoors when smoking isn't allowed I always do a double take

I haven't had a cig in 2 1/2 years!

I have a Joye eGo T. I've been on it for two and a half years now! I would never go back. I love my e-cig. I use liquid from FreedomSmokeUSA (Menthol Ultra flavor). It costs me maybe $20 a month for all my supplies, if that. I used to spend that every two days on cigs. So much cheaper!
I've tried the Halo liquids and didn't like them as much. The menthol wasn't as clean tasting. I'm super picky about my menthol.

I don't use it, but I know someone who does. He loves it! He also loves the different flavors and often buys new ones just to try them out. I tried it a few times, even though I've never smoked and I love the raspberry one, !

I don't smoke. I have never seen an e-cigarette. It sounds interesting.
07/07/2012
I quit smoking 22 years ago and an E-cigg wasn't available at the time.
07/07/2012
Not yet but I am looking into getting one.
07/07/2012
No, I haven't tried one yet
07/07/2012
I haven't yet, but REALLY want too!!!! I smoked as a teen, and then quite for 15 years. This year has been the most stressful of my life, and I started up again about a year ago.
After reading all of the positive comments I think I will run out and get myself an e-cig!!!
