Skyp was amazing during the time our daughter was overseas for a couple "semesters abroad". Then we started using it with relatives in Australia and Europe. It is really nice. A little visit with hardly any cost. However, you do have to make sure your background is clean. Amazing how people notice the messes (or other things) behind you.

Yes, I do sometimes, but mostly with just friends, family or gaming buddies. Otherwise, not a big fan because I don't like people staring at me, even if I can't see them doing it

My computer came with it so I didn't have to download it. I made an account because a friend had it and she's on Skype more then Yahoo!. But I don't have a webcam or mic so I type. It doesn't bother me.
