If it's a minor election, where it doesn't really matter, I might skip. For instance if it's a primary and my choice is currently in the office, my vote doesn't make much of a difference. I've considered two mayor races in my town important to vote in because I knew those votes would make a big difference, but a primary where my choice is already in office, not going to make much difference to vote for them.

This is my first year voting, but honestly, I find NOT voting irresponsible. I understand not voting on every little local election, but big state initiatives and the presidential elections are incredibly important. Even if every vote doesn't go directly into a decision like that, what with the electoral college (which is obsolete) and everything, it's showing support for your belief system and demonstrating to your community that you are a valuable asset to said community.

Very rarely. I think I only have voted a handful of times. I don't keep up on those things (although I should) and when I realize its coming up, I have other stuff going on and can't make it in to vote.

On a "related note", I would like to say that I think most of our govt or politicians are crooked anyways and somehow end up rigging those things one way or another lmao.

I do for major elections, but not for like, the school-board or other local positions. I'd feel guilty voting for someone I know nothing about (other than party affiliation), and there are other things I'd rather do in my free time than follow local politics.

I vote, if only to oppose the least desirable candidates. There usually isn't anyone running that I could wholeheartedly support. Or at least, there aren't candidates that I could support that have any chance of actually winning.

Unfortunately, I live in a state where "Democrats" are pretty much just moderate Republicans, so it tends to feel a bit futile but I go to the polls anyway.

I've voted in every election since I was eligible to vote. I believe, if you don't vote, you really have nothing to complain about. It is a right given to me, and every legal US citizen, by our Constitution. I feel that the American citizen, takes for granted this privilege which many people in other countries, around the world, envy and wish they could exercise without reprisal.
