I just have never seen someone use one. They still sell them, so someone must, but who? Why?

We still own one and use it in a pinch (i.e. if out plug-in mower isn't working)

I've never used one. I can't recall seeing someone else use one either...

I've considered it, maybe when my current one wears out, since I have a small lawn

We have one for the small trim areas and the nooks where our big riding mower will not fit....like under some of the decorative trees, dog kennel, etc.

Don't see why not. It's the 'green' way to mow your lawn.
