I live about 15-20 miles away. Some of my family members live less than 3 miles away from the theater where it happened. One of the victims was a friend of a friend that I met at my college. It all hits so close to home.

I have a good friend who lives in Aurora. Thankfully, he and his family were out of town when this happened. The entire story is heartbreaking.

Use to be somewhat close in Thornton but both my parents live in Aurora. My dad lives just down the street.
