I'm sorry these things are happening (I feel badly for everyone who has a rough time.)

I have pretty severe fibro, and I'm terrified all the time that it's just MS misdiagnosed. Stuff often just doesn't.... work...

My Man can't hear either. Claims I "mumble." No, he's going deaf. Although with him, I keep telling him it's his age. G*d, he loves me.

I have exactly what your husband does - in fact I was operated on it as a child - by a money grubbing doctor looking to make a house payment.

A common genetic abnormality in men is 'convenient hearing' - we hear what we want too!

You know the drill!

Everyone has their own cross to bear.

Unfortunately.

Mostly everything is being managed, but still have those days of "ugh, why now?"

Hang in there everyone!

For me it's bipolar and panic attacks. Such a fun (not) combination. But Abilify and regular therapy seem to calm things down.

convenient hearing LOL! My Man says he has developed a "P'Gell filter." Nice.

Of course, when he's talking about work, I can go into "Man-Talk Auto Pilot" "Uh huh. Really? It was a new resistor? Hmmmm. (while looking at my book) The vendor wouldn't send you the right component, huh? Asshole. Yeah.... no kidding, wow, that sounds difficult. How many Gigs? MMMMMMM" I have not committed anything he said to memory, I just grab convenient snatches of information to make it seem like I'm paying attention. But, at least I don't just stare into space and once in a while go "HUH?" and pretend he isn't talking... like some men I know...

i have issues but they're all pretty manageable. my biggest concern is my hearing loss; i need hearing aids but they're so damned expensive and insurance refuses to cover them. it's pretty lame

Yea - I'm sure there are coping methods on both sides. My job is so boring I refuse to even talk about it - so i save her the need to half-listen.

It's all good - she's learned to cope with my quiet side and I've learned that she's not looking for a solution, just a listener.

I used to have more mental health problems than I do now. Hooray. Like these days I have a coffee addiction and that's about it. I've learned how to manage my depression for the most part via diet and doing engaging things in my life. I even got my warts treated. I've got a lot to be thankful for, really. Best wishes to those who have things to struggle with.

A medic friend of mine believes I had something called ... erm ... Okay, this is quite embarrassing. My friend believes I have this thing where I forget words. Ironically, I've forgotten the name of it!

I have suffered from endometriosis since I was a teen and got severely ill a couple of years ago which led to anxiety and ugh... IBS Yuck! Anyways, I finally had surgery last year and have been on a light anti-anxiety and pain meds which have helped. I started eating coconut oil and shortly after was completely relieved of IBS! WOW! It was a nightmare and I truly could not have a life and I was only a teen! I'm like a new person now. I still have some light problems here and there with the endo pain, but am on an injection to keep it from growing.

I had ulcerative colitus, which is like a sister to Crohns disease. Its pretty much the same disease, but it is limited to only the large intestin, instead of the whole digestive track. That disease was a cureable disease that just about killed me. I ended up having all of my large intestin, rectom and part of my small intestin taken out. But if you look at me now you wouldn't know that I had all of those problems. I just have a scar that is hidden in my belly hair and one on my belly that looks like I was stabbed by a really big knife. Being a big, strong, ex military guy the scar kind of adds more street cred.

I'm only 22 and I'm already feeling the effects of arthritis in my hands and knees (thanks, genetics!).....I also have Raynaud's, which makes for a sucky combo.

I have psoriasis (not very serious in my book, just a pain in the ass) and anxiety but I manage that pretty well. Serious no, but definitely annoying.

Eczema, but I would say that is the least serious on that list. I have had it ever since I was a child, like 2.

My list of illnesses: Bipolar I, GAD (generalized anxiety disorder), ADD (attention deficit disorder), have had addiction problems in the past, PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). I feel like I'm forgetting some stuff. Oh, insomnia. I think that's it.

I have IBS, major depressive disorder, chronic UTIs and other infections, general anxiety disorder, a binge eating disorder (I just can't stop eating even when I don't want to eat), obesity (I wear a 3X, E cup and huge waist and all), chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic migraines, dependent personality disorder, PCOS, PMDD, and Asperger's Syndrome.

...Yeah. I have a VERY hard time finding myself beautiful, especially with the weight and binge eating. I don't know how I can ever be sexy, either. I'm VERY insecure and need others approval to feel good about myself.

Severe psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis (hands, wrists, feet, ankles), osteoarthritis (back, neck, hips), rheumatoid arthritis (knees, shoulders, elbows), polycystic ovarian syndrome/prediabetes, severe depression, severe anxiety, and obesity.

So, yeah. I'm 23 and generally in pain all the time, sad about being in pain and being ugly, and worried that I'm never going to have the children I want. In a nutshell.

Edit: Oh dear, I just realized this post is super old. Whoops!

Addictions (I never met an addictive chemical that I didn't love), and Eczema to isolated parts of my calves mostly. The Eczema I keep under control with thick lotions and hydrocortisone. The addictions...man I wish a cream would solve those.
