not sure if my state has the law. While I don't like the idea of killing someone, if they break into your house it's likely that they intend, or could use deadly force, so I lean in favor of them. I personally probably wouldn't use the law, mainly because it's hard to kill with a mallet, unless it hits the head JUST right. There was a case in texas where someone shot and killed a guy robbing his neighbors house. That I'm not a fan of, as no one is in danger and possessions can be replaced. criminal or not, it's not worth taking a life for a tv and some DVDs.

If I feel threatened with severe bodily harm, I would use it!! That is why we have a gun in our room.

I am not sure if my state has one or not. I do not own a gun, but if someone entered my home without permission, I would have no problem putting a cap in their ass.

North Carolina's newly revised Castle Doctrine as of Dec 1, 2011 covers homes, vehicles and places of work. The lawful occupant of a home, motor vehicle or workplace isn't required to retreat prior to using deadly force. Crooks beware!

I have no problem with some one protecting their life, safety or personal property. (even their family members) Do the cops protect you? NO. Their job is to try to figure out who did it to you, not to stop it from happening. After all it is not a crime until after the action is done. I stand behind anyone who stands up to the bad guys and protects themselves.

I carry a gun with me most of the time, outside of work. I have never had to use it. My kids don't even know I have it, as I have not even had to show someone I was carrying. I hope that I never have to use it, but I am not afraid of using it when the need arises.

If the bad guys knew that more of us good guys were carrying guns, they would be less likely to commit the crimes and risk their life's.

Do you need to practice target shooting often? Have you ever been to that Gun Club in my city?

If I had my own home, I'd at least have a shotgun.

Absolutely! The government has taken away enough of our rights to protect and inform ourselves. We joke (a lot) around here that we just have to make sure to drag the feet inside before we call the cops.

The reality is I would probably be too scared to do anything productive.

I will not be afraid to defend myself if I feel threatened.
