q-tips... as deep as I can go! I hate the thought of having anything in there. Also, the feeling of getting deep in there feels so good to me! Like when you have a terrible scratch somewhere and you can't scratch it then when you finally do! Lol.

I have heard that it can cause some people problems to use the candles. Some even get infections from it? That's what I've heard, but I use them anytime I feel like it and especially when I'm sick or have the start of an earahce. It always helps me immediately, even with the horrible pressure from a head cold. Those things are too awesome! LOL.

I get in there with qtips (one of a handful of things that I never buy generic). A friend and I tried ear candles once. It got out a dog hair from her ear that was annoying her for days.

I use cotton swabs (too cheap to buy real q-tips) usually once or twice a week and then because I sometimes get a blockage of wax I'll use hydrogen peroxide when I need it, usually once every couple months.

I can't go a day without cleaning my ears with a Q-tip! But, I produce a ton of wax from my ears too...
I'd love to get my hands on some candles! Or talk my Dr into doing it there..

Q-tips actually can pack the earwax into your ear if you are using it too deep. My doctor scolded me because I always used to use Q-tips.

You put a bit on a cotton ball, squeeze it so a few drops fall into your ear.. keep your head tilted so the oil stays in the ear for about 15 minutes, and then place a piece of tissue by your ear, tilt your head the other way and a bit of wax will come out with the oil. It sounds weird but it works. less

Q-tip but I don't go far in. My dr. said your ears naturally clean themselves, so your really just clogging your ear more by sticking it way in there.

I used to use bobby pins because I hate using cotton in my ears. When I learned about metal ear picks and couldn't find any, I decided to use the tail end of a pair of nail clippers, lmao. Works like a charm!

My doctor actually told me to directly pour hydrogen peroxide into my ear canal, let it fizz for a bit, and then flush it out with a bulb from an ear cleaning kit.
