Embarrassing facial mark

Contributor: buzz buzz
So, I have a viral infection and I've been drinking a lot of orange juice. Partially because I like it, partially because of the vitamin C. But I drink it too fast and it makes me nauseous so I've been nursing it to the point that it gets suctioned on my face. Well, now I have a hickey on my upper lip...

Have you ever done anything that you were embarrassed about to your face? Maybe pluck one too many eyebrow hairs or sleep on a funny shape??

I've definitely plucked one too many eyebrow hairs and then some. I am however, a master of hiding shit with makeup. I penciled them back in using several colors of eyeliner. No one could tell. I tested it by asking if anyone thought anything looked different. I asked my suitemate and then rubbed off my "eyebrow." It was funny as hell watching her mouth drop.

Also, I remember when I was a kid I kept blowing bubble gum and it kept getting on my nose again and again. I'd pull it off and it irritated the skin. It sounds disgusting, but I think some skin must have been pulled off too. I walked into elementary the next day with a bright red nose, that later turned into a line of a scab. Everyone asked me and I was waaay too embarrassed to admit what had really happened.

Once I waxed my eyebrows and ripped off a chunk of skin from the inner corner. I was on medication that thins the skin, and realized after that the instructions warn against waxing while you're on it. It was a fairly deep wound and took all summer to heal. I had to cut long, eyebrow skimming bangs to cover up the scab as much as I could. Concealer just made it look so much worse.

I can't leave my face alone sometimes...odd colored hair, out of line beard hair, occasional acne, splitting the albino caterpillar above my eyes...etc.

The worst thing was when I learned that I'd been unintentionally shaving my side burns different lengths. One was about 1/4" to 1/2" shorter than the other. I was so embarrassed when I noticed one day in a professional dress workplace; I kept angling my head away from people so they wouldn't notice until I got home to fix it.

I just have awful acne that makeup thankfully covers up until I can see a dermatologist in a few weeks.
