how do you know if you're being stalked on facebook? i hear people say it all the time, "oh, yeah, he facebook stalked me a lot last year." "he friended me, then facebook stalked me." there's no way to see who is viewing your page. if you're friends w/ them on facebook, then i could see how you would at least be able to come up w/ that assumption, but if you're not, then there's no way you would know unless they or someone else told you.

That's usually how I figure it out. When my ex was Facebook stalking me he had mentioned it to a friend who told me. When my friend Facebook stalks me, he just tells me outright. Other ways you can "guess" is if it becomes apparent that they know things they'd really only know about if they had taken the time to go through everything, but that's usually more about pictures that are years old and not relevant anymore but they weren't on your friend's list then.

I've an interesting story on this. A friend of mine had an online stalker for five years or so. The whole time she thought the stalker was a woman (who was actually a man). The only way she realised she was a he was because he had a hissy fit and, well, did some very mean things via Facebook that I found so alarming I can't even bring myself to say them. Even then it was iffy, until she (my friend) looked up his IP address.
