Fall Color Changes???

Contributor: Bignuf Bignuf
We live in an area that is GREEN, year around. We were watching on TV this morning about areas where there is now "peak fall colors" on the trees.

Do you living in a FALL COLOR ZONE and if so, do you actually go out and enjoy looking at the "fall colors"??? We live near the ocean, so we go and enjoy the beach, I was wondering if it is kind of the same thing????

Our trees are all orange and red right now; I don't like the colors as much as watching the leaves tumble off of the trees!

We don't go leaf peaking or anything but we do enjoy the colors as we go about our daily routine. And then pay someone else to suck up all the fallen leaves in the yard! ha!

Yes, we live in an area that experiences distinct seasonal changes. The leaves are exceptionally pretty, especially when the sun comes out - all yellows, oranges and reds. I do not look forward to when the leaves all fall off the trees; I don't like the monochrome colour that seems to encompass everything. And although we do get snow, sometimes it isn't until well into December before we see a bit of white. Luckily though, we do tend to have early springs, so winter isn't THAT bad!

We live an area where the leaves normally change color. It's usually my favorite season, in part because of all the color. But this year, we aren't seeing much change. Maybe the moisture level hasn't been right for it.

We live on a wooded acre. We enjoy the trees all the time, but really enjoy the fall colors. We have a lot of maples, and they have beautiful color, as well as a lot of other trees.

We often will go to the local Arboretum to view the even more fall colors, or to one of the forest preserves or to many other places.

We really love living in an area where the seasons change.

When I was a child (and when my children were younger) we all had to do "Leaf books" in the fall, with different leaves from trees, identified, labeled and put into books. It's a Midwestern tradition.

We have some trees that are completely barren already, but for the most part the rest of them are varying shades of red and brown right now.

I love living here in SW Texas because we too have color changes in the fall. Our grass and stuff goes from brown (thanks to drought) to green since we don't have as much direct sunlight anymore and maybe get a bit more rain (or at least when we water our plants - we can see the difference)!

Some of the trees have turned golden or orange, but a lot are still green. I love the fall colors, but hate it when fallen leaves covered the sidewalks on a rainy day, making our walks dangerously slippery.

The trees have started changing into lovely golden colors. There is still quite a bit of green though.
