What is your favorite and least favorite aspect of being a member of Eden? And why?

Contributor: js250 js250
My favorite aspect is the advice, lessons and friendship on the forums. This has really opened my eyes to the many types of relationships, toys and experiences available in life. It has also brought some very valuable friends into my life that I might not have ever met.

My least favorite aspect is writing a review on a middle of the line item. If there is not something either fantastic or horrible about the item I find it difficult to give a good and thorough review about the product. My new goal--Make mediocre product reviews interesting!!

My favorite aspect is the way I gain knowledge here - it seems like I learn something new every day! My least favorite aspect is the stress I experience when trying to get a free assignment. My last few have been denied, and I always worry about whether I made a good choice of toy and how many other people are requesting it, that sort of thing. It's pretty dumb, and I shouldn't let it get to me, but I always do!

I've learned a great deal from browsing and reading the forums. I love how we can be open and even ask questions that we might be embarrassed to ask anyone else.

It's also great being able to read and learn about products from real people and not just company generated reviews.

Favorite part: Learning so much about toys. I don't think I'll ever buy one that is a piece of crap ever again.
Other favorite part: I've learned how to write toy reviews from people who are really good!
Least favorite part: Writing a review about something that a lot of other people have already written good reviews on.

My favorite part is the great people I've met on here. There are members I talk to that I would consider friends even though I've never met them. I also like that I can ask just about anything on the forums without fear of being judged and that others can do the same. People are always willing to help each other out, which is such a rare thing these days.

My least favorite thing is wading through all the spam. The forums have a lot of the same questions posted day after day or posts that clearly are made for points. People comment on reviews for points or vote for points. I had to take a break from Eden because of all this as it was making my depression worse to deal with all of it.

My favorite parts is that I met alot of lovely people who genuinly care about what another person is going thru, even if they only "met" via computer. And the fact that I have my mind open via all the new things on here that I've learned about.

Least favorite is trying to write reviews on stuff that struck me as Meh. I love reviewing on here, but man it sucks trying to spit out a decent review for something that just didnt strike my fancy..

Favorite Part: ...so I really can't say everything? xD
Well it would have to be a tie between all the information about materials being not only readily available but linked on the product pages, how between all the reviews and the product page itself you learn a lot more about an item you're thinking of buying than on other sites, and all the awesome search refining choices.

Least Favorite Part: Debating on whether or not to review items that already have a lot of reviews and how everything sells out just before I go to buy it. @_@

My favorite thing about EF is...well, I can't pick just one thing! It's a great community. I obviously love the points program as well as the review program. And I've become so much more knowledgeable about toys since becoming a member. So I guess all of those things!

My least favorite...writing a review on a product I don't like

My favorite thing about Eden is the community. Everyone is so kind and helpful, and I love how the reviews help add to that dynamic. I like how we can talk about new products, good products, and bad products and not be worried about people judging us. I also like the review program and how it's blessed me in letting me try new things that I otherwise never would have dreamed of affording.

My least favorite part... The people who just seem to be in it for the free stuff. Be it students (Mentors, you've all had people like this!), advanced reviewers, forum farmers, or people who just comment smileys on everything.

Fun thread! It's fun to see what everyone likes most/least!

I think my favorite thing is how Eden has really helped me learn so much about my sexuality. It's made me much more open about everything sexual related which has really helped my relationship with my husband. I love the amount of toys that really lets me experiment and try new things, and the wonderful community that helps me figure things out along the way. Everyone is also so friendly which is wonderful. I don't think I've had a mean thing said about me once on this site, which is just fantastic.

As for my least favorite, I think it would be people who join the mentor program as a student then ditch once they get a gift, or who join to get points or whatever, then never do anything towards it. It really makes me feel like a bad mentor when my students don't want to work with me.

I am actually learning a few things about EF that I never even gave a thought to!! This really opened a can of worms for more of my questions----so who hopes I get off my introspective attitude soon and go back to being just me?? LOL!!
