OoOoH! AW! The Titanic! I have such a soft spot for the Titanic (more so for the people who were on it). My parents were very lucky to have gotten to go to Gatlinburg last week for a Titanic thingy. It was amazing and the items they brought back from the whole thingy were heart breaking! It was kind of like a "re-enactment" sort of thing, just to give a more intimate idea of how things were on the Titanic. I was SO jealous that I didn't go. She didn't tell me where they were going and I didn't find out until she'd left and my lovie told me!
Anyways, enough about that.
My favs are: *Amethyst mostly because it's my birthstone, but it is pretty, just not my very top fav. Say I could choose my birthstone, it'd so be opal!
*Opal. My top favorite! I remember when I first fell in love with Opal. My mom & dad had taken my twin sister & me and we all went to the Smoky Mtns for vacation. My mom bought let me pick out my very first pair of earrings up there, I chose these gorgeous opal stones. I was still in the 6 week wait or whatever since I'd gotten them done only shortly before leaving and could not wait to have them in.
Our 12 year old's birthstone is opal. I always joke about trading with him.
I also love fire opal, blue fire opal! I even love jelly opal although the colors are more fady, it's still stunning. Talk about gorgeous!
Still, nothing takes my breath away like the opal stones.
Others I really love are turquoise, blue topaz, tourmaline and pearl! I use pearls more often than anything when I make jewelry.

LOL I was just about to say Opal as well! I love opals so much more than anything else!

I'm with you on opals! I absolutely love opals. Any and all types of opals!!
My favourite stone ever. It is not precious but I prefer it over everything else.
I love the more fire red to the yellow and every shade in between. I love it pure and clear, or with debris a little or a lot inside. I love it big and bulky, or small and tiny. I love it in a gold setting, a silver setting or even just on a rope.

Those are really pretty! I think you've gotten me to like opal a lot more.
Mine has always been sapphire. I love the deep blue color. Plus, it always reminds me of the titanic nude drawing scene. So what's yours and why?
Diamonds will always be a girls best friend, but I also love blue sapphire as well... Not only is it a beautiful color but it also symbolizes my birth month...
I have diamond and sapphires in my wedding band, which is very nearly the only jewelry I wear, but pearls are another favorite. Sapphire is my birthstone.
