In the United States I prefer fall. I think the weather is perfect and I love all the colors the trees turn.
However, I prefer late spring/early summer in the United Kingdom. To me it is the perfect weather even
with the misty rain and fog (both of which I secretly love).

I've always loved fall, but moving to New England has cemented it. I love everything about it--the colors (duh), the cooler weather, the holidays, and especially the food! Today's a gorgeous, sunny May day, and now I'm dreaming about spiced apple cider, butternut squash soup, and pumpkin bread, lol.
I also really love winter, especially when it's snowing (as long as I don't have to get out and drive in it.) This may have more to do with my enthusiasm for the Christmas season than anything else.
Late spring/early summer are also really great. I don't care for early spring in New England--it's such a tease, and it's hard to dress for. Late summer can be less than pleasant if you don't have air conditioning.

I love spring & fall; there's usually a nice mix of calm rainy days and annoyingly bright and sunny days (three days of sun is about my limit!). Summer can get very hot here. ugh.

Basically, I hate the winter. I love the spring because it leads away from winter, and into summer (which I also love). Summer is not my first choice only because it leads into fall and therefore is twinged with sadness at the end when the cold is starting to creep in again. Spring is filled with warming weather and anticipation of the great things to come.
