i've noticed that a new fad is wearing feathers in your hair. i like it if it's done right. does anyone else like this fad?

Not particularly. A little too frivolous for my liking.

I don't like it because the roosters that supply the feathers are almost always killed during the plucking.

Our daughter (21) started doing this. All her friends do too. They are VERY popular in younger hair salons and online too. Some are amazingly expensive.

OUCH. Did not know that. I assumed these were wasted by product of chicken industry. If that is true, then people need to know it. that is terrible.

I love it but I can't pull stuff like that off really. I like peacock feathers better though. Especially as earings!!

1 of my fashion teachers did a paper for her masters on feathers & said that the vast majority of feathers used in the fashion industry are chicken feathers.
