Feet on the dashboard

I would think that if you where to get in a crash with your feet on the dashboard, it would hurt a little.

I have never done this, and don't really understand why some people do. When I drive past a car where a passenger's feet are on the dash I think "thanks for showing me your feet" and chuckle to myself. lol

I do it in my own car when my partner drives. I put my feet on the wind sheild. Theres tons of toe marks up there now! Lol. If I'm not driving, I always have one leg or 2 in the seat. I usually try to refrain from smearing my toes on other ppl's windsheilds though. I do put them up there in my partner's truck sometimes. Hee Hee. It doesn't bother him.

On long drives, I'll sometimes put my feet up on the dash. I have trouble sitting in the "normal" position for any length of time. I'm just more comfortable with my feet up or tucked under me or beside me or whatever.

I do it every time regardless. I love it and it's a huge pet peeve of hubby's. He hates getting his car dirty. I leave footprints all over his windshield! I know it irks him but I make up for it later!

My car is way too small for that.

I only put my feet up on the dashboard when the car is stationary, because, with the layout of our car, having my legs up there would hinder the view to the left, and the driver wouldn't be able to use the side mirror.

It is as close to the "recliner" effect you can have while in a car. Lot's of folks do it, if you look. So long as it is not the DRIVER!!!!

Does seem to be a girl thing, as I watch other cars. My hubby thinks it is cute too. He IS a "foot and leg" guy, however!!!

Thanks for a good laugh in the morning!!! Get a puppy like mine in your car and you would end up with toe prints and nose prints all over your window!!!!

I totally do this, as did one of my (female) exes. Don't know any guys who do it though...

I can't stand having my legs down for long periods of time. So usually I'm sitting cross legged in the seat, but if I can take my shoes off I'll do this too.

My guy hates when I do it but I put them up after a long ride and only when my shoes are off

I put my feet up occasionally in the car but only when my shoes are clean or can come off.

I sit with my leg tucked under me, one foot on the dash, or cross legged in the truck. Wierd, but I never thought about it until this question. In my classic truck, I always drive, so no question there!!

When I'm the passenger, it sometimes happens. Used to so it all the time as a kid. Pissed my mom off. Lol

I used to do that quite a bit!!! LOL. That was when I was a kid. Now I'm more careful about not leaving smudges but still do occasionally.

I do this rarely. I used to do it more when I was with my ex who had a foot fetish because he got a kick out of it. Now whenever I have my feet up there it just makes me think of him, really

I ALWAYS have my feet on the dashboard! I have always been like that. I can't even sit in a regular chair without having my legs tucked up underneath me. My school teachers were constantly yelling at me about it!

Well, I agree with Ms. Cinnamon, except I would not say it sounds dangerous---it is dangerous!!! In fact, some states have laws about dangling your feet and/or arms out the windows. Why do you think we have seat/shoulder belts? Imagine in a serious crash what would happen to your legs? Can you say, ""...amputation..."?
