We are very eager to visit our first fetish club but have come across one small problem...what to wear? Being newbies we don't want to stick out like sore thumbs...any suggestions for both him and her? x

It really depends on your area, the locals, and the club itself.
In my area, I've seen everything from mall-goth to full on latex body-suits and hoods. It depends on the focus of the club, the events going on, and stuff. I've even seen random people in preppy clothing who don't seem to notice or care where they are.
If the place has a website, you can check their info and if they have any dress-code regulations (some places they may or may not allow people to be topless or bring oversize accessories, stuff like that), and look at pictures to see what the atmosphere is like.

Friends of mine who go to such places say that first-time visitors should just wear something nice in black - like a cocktail dress or trousers and long-sleeve shirt. One, it helps the regulars know that you're new and prepares them to answer questions you may have. Two, it gives you a chance to blend in enough to not be uncomfortable while you figure out the nuances and dress code of that club.
Bottom line is that you can never go wrong with elegance in black.

We had thought possibly just dress smart but were worried about making the wrong first impression and sticking out like sore thumbs or like the newbies we are! She had thought a nice corset and panty set but what about him? ALl suggestions welcomed not long to go now!
